Champions of new music since they first came together in 2008, Fuse Ensemble performs works of living composers, including Nicole Mitchell, Steve Antosca, Caroline Shaw, Eve Beglarian, Jeffrey Mumford, Sophia Jani, and many more, with an upcoming season that includes works by Judith Shatin, Brittany J. Green, and Pamela Z. They have premiered numerous original films and live interactive videos by Chilean Artist Edgar Endress, the AlsoSisters, animator Michael J. Edwards, and live interactive videos by Adam Kendall; installations by Howard Connelly, Norbert Attard and Workingman Collective and others.

Fuse Ensemble has performed in venues that include Georgetown University’s Friday Music Series, American University's Katzen Arts Center, Wooly Mammoth, Atlas Performing Arts Center, John F. Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, American University’s Abrams Family Recital Hall, An Die Musik Baltimore, and the Andrea Clearfield Salon in Philadelphia. Festival performances include the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival (NYCEMF), the CrossCurrents New Music Festival at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, Sonic Circuits DC Festival, UMBC’s LiveWire New Music Festival and IUPUI Indiana University's Intermedia Festival.

Fuse Ensemble Director Gina Biver is a signatory of New Music Equity Action, a group of composers, performers and directors who are committed to dismantling the inequitable status quo in new music. As of 2022, Fuse Ensemble is supported by Fuse Ensemble Arts Collective, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to advance the awareness of, and opportunities for, composers and artists in underrepresented groups. Fuse Ensemble aims to expose audiences to a wide range of artistic perspectives and insights while encouraging the growth of a more just, inclusive and vibrant new music community.
